Spring Skin

I am so excited to kick off this weekend with a few beauty tips as well as a link to a recent post that I wrote as a guest blogger on www.CurvyCEO.com. For this post I had the pleasure of sharing nuggets of insight regarding C Squared Artistry's "Core 4" and the connection to leadership. I often hear an array of sentiments about self-worth, esteem, and so much more from women that I meet. Taking these concerns into consideration, I began to see that the basic "Core 4" aspects of makeup and how they can actually be used as a mirror to our roles as leaders.

Here's a short excerpt for you:

...Step 1: Assess and Accept your unique and innate beauty. This may be common advice, but trust me, many of us can't even look at ourselves in the mirror, simply because we are not pleased with the face that stares back... Makeup is only as good as the skin it's being applied to; many of us attempt to cover the face before assessing what's actually there. In the same way, I encourage you to assess your natural leadership strengths and weaknesses. Approach your management skills to suit your assets while humbly asking for help with the weaknesses. And remember, there is only one you, and that is simply enough!

To learn more about the "Core 4", how to reveal your true beauty, and how to become a Woman of Confidence, I want to invite you to join us for the first ever C Squared Experience: A Confidence & Beauty Workshop at The Fridge DC from 11:00am to 1:30pm on Saturday, April 25th! In the meanwhile check out my Top 4 Skin Care Products for this Spring. Share your comments and thoughts below on any challenges you've faced with assessing and accepting your unique beauty. I'd love to hear from you!

1. REN Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask (This is by far one the best mask I've ever used. My skin is literally glowing after just a few minutes of washing it off. REN is worth every penny. I've used this about twice a week and although I'm out of it right now, I definitely plan on replenishing.

3. Nuance Marigold Facial Cleansing Oil by Salma Hayek (I like the subtle scent of this product and the ease of removing my makeup at night; and because it's oil- base, it doesn't leave my skin feeling tight or uncomfortable.)

4. Every Day Coconut Water Face Toner (I stumbled across this one day in the Wegmans grocery store, and I'm so glad I did. This works really well for me; helping to adjust the PH balance in my skin after cleansing. It smells great and is very refreshing.)
